NY Times Readers Pick the Best TV Show of the 21st Century
Original: NY Times Readers' Poll Names the 'Best TV Show of the 21st Century' After Newspaper's 'Joke of a List' Divides Viewers
The New York Times has run a readers' poll to name the best television show of the 21st century, after the paper's own staff ranking of top shows drew a divided and sometimes mocking response from viewers, some calling it a 'joke of a list'. The reader vote offered a counterpoint, letting audiences crown their own winner and reigniting debate about which series truly deserves the title.
Why now: The paper's original best-of list angered many viewers, so the follow-up readers' poll is drawing attention as fans compare it against the critics' ranking.
Rank over time, top of the chart is #1. 11 snapshots from 20 h ago to 7 h ago.
