Trump jabs Ken Paxton at rally
Donald Trump took a public swipe at Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton while speaking at a rally. The remark, coming from a president who has been one of Paxton's most prominent allies, has drawn attention because of what it could mean for Paxton's political standing in Texas and his rumored Senate ambitions against John Cornyn.
Why now: Trump's criticism of a close ally signals a possible rift with major implications for Texas Republican politics
