Original: Lukashenko reaffirms Belarus’ commitment to integration in post-Soviet space

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has reaffirmed his country's commitment to integration within the post-Soviet space, state media reported. The statement underscores Minsk's continued alignment with former Soviet states, a policy Lukashenko has long championed amid Belarus' close ties with Russia and its role in regional organisations. The pledge comes as integration projects in the region remain under close international scrutiny.

Why now: Ongoing geopolitical tensions have put Belarus' regional alignment under heightened attention.
