Users on decentralized social networks are boosting mutual aid appeals tagged FediForGaza, calling attention to the humanitarian situation in Gaza and asking others to share and support relief efforts. The campaign uses tags such as FediHelp and mutualaid to reach people willing to donate or amplify fundraisers. Little concrete detail is visible beyond the appeal itself.
Why now: Ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza keeps mutual aid and fundraising appeals circulating among activist users.
