Elon Musk has unfollowed Shivon Zilis on X, the social platform he owns, prompting fresh speculation about the state of their relationship. Zilis, a Neuralink executive and mother of several of Musk's children, had long been among his most visible supporters. The Verge notes the unfollow may be hard to reverse, given Musk's control of the platform and their intertwined personal and professional lives.
Why now: Any public signal of tension between Musk and Zilis draws attention because of their personal relationship and their roles at his companies.
