Original: ใใๅญ ๅญใฉใ ้ฃๅ
Japanese comedian Yasuko is drawing attention for her involvement with a kodomo shokudo, a volunteer-run children's cafeteria offering free or cheap meals to kids. A Modelpress feature notes she is far from alone, highlighting entertainers including Haruna Ai, Mayumi Shono and Kumiko Ogura who run such cafeterias and describing what motivated them to start.
Why now: Interest in Yasuko's charitable work has prompted coverage of other celebrities supporting children's cafeterias amid growing food insecurity in Japan.
