Judge blocks border barrier construction in Big Bend region

Original: Good news, at least temporarily:⚡"A judge on Friday blocked further border barrier construction in the # BigBend region.

A federal judge on Friday blocked further border barrier construction in the Big Bend region of Texas. The ruling bars federal contractors from continuing work in Big Bend National Park and surrounding areas until a lawsuit opposing the construction is resolved. Supporters of the decision describe it as good news, though only a temporary reprieve while the legal challenge plays out.

Why now: The court ruling halts a politically contested border project, drawing reactions from people on both sides of the immigration debate.
