Original: CP SUNDAY: Helping one another
Churches are observing Cooperative Program Sunday, an annual observance encouraging congregations to give jointly so they can support missions, ministry and relief work together rather than alone. The theme this year, 'Helping one another', stresses cooperation and shared responsibility. The observance highlights how pooled giving funds denominational ministries at state, national and international levels.
Why now: It is the designated Sunday for the annual Cooperative Program emphasis, prompting churches to promote the observance.
