Jury Selection Tops One Week in UNC Student Murder Trial
Original: Jury selection exceeds one week in UNC student murder trial
Jury selection has now stretched past a full week in the trial of the man accused of killing a University of North Carolina student. The extended process reflects the difficulty of seating an impartial jury in a high-profile campus killing, with WRAL reporting that the case remains in its early stages as prospective jurors are questioned.
Why now: The trial of a UNC student's murder is a closely watched local case, and the unusually slow jury selection signals a lengthy legal process ahead.
