Massad Boulos Discusses Sudan Peace Efforts With UN Envoy

Original: Massad Boulos Discusses Peace Efforts in Sudan With UN Envoy

Massad Boulos, a senior US adviser on Africa, met with the United Nations envoy for Sudan to discuss efforts toward peace in the country, where a war between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces has caused one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. Details of the talks have not been made public, but the meeting points to continued international diplomacy around ending the conflict.

Why now: Sudan's devastating civil war keeps any high-level diplomacy about peace efforts in the news.
