Alberta NDP urged to break with Danielle Smith on oil and gas

Original: Hoping for the ABNDP to come to the realization that taking Danielle Smith's side on this issue is not the smartest move

Commenters are criticizing the Alberta NDP for backing Premier Danielle Smith's position on an oil and gas issue, arguing the party is siding with oil and gas profiteers on the assumption that it must because it operates in Alberta. Critics say this amounts to abandoning the under-represented Albertans the party claims to represent and is not a politically smart strategy.

Why now: The Alberta NDP's alignment with Premier Danielle Smith on an oil and gas matter is drawing criticism from its progressive base.
