CBS announced Friday that its lead NFL game analyst Tony Romo has mutually agreed to part ways with the network. The split immediately raised questions about whether the separation was truly joint, with some observers arguing the two sides had negotiated a contract settlement behind the scenes. Romo has served as CBS's top NFL analyst since 2017.
