Patrick Reed commits to DP World Tour Championship
American golfer Patrick Reed has committed to play in the DP World Tour Championship, the season-ending event on the DP World Tour held in Dubai. Reed, a former Masters champion, has had a strained relationship with the European tour since joining the LIV Golf circuit, so his entry will draw attention. Golf fans and commentators are weighing what his participation means for the event's field.
Why now: Reed's commitment is notable given his split from the DP World Tour amid the LIV Golf rivalry.
