Latin America views China more favourably than US as global influence, poll finds
Original: Latin America sees China as more positive global influence than US: Poll
A new poll finds that more people in Latin America see China as a positive global influence than the United States. The findings point to shifting regional perceptions, with respondents rating Beijing's role in the world more favourably than Washington's. The result is drawing attention to US standing in its own hemisphere and China's growing soft power across the region.
Why now: The poll challenges assumptions about US dominance in Latin American public opinion amid rising Chinese influence in the region.
