Users share Google-free Linux desktops for Desktop Friday

Original: Mal wieder zu Spät dran #ViernesDeEscritorio #DesktopFriday Mein Desktop unter Fedora 44 Gnome 50.3 die Nutzung von Linu

Linux users are sharing screenshots of their desktop setups for the recurring Desktop Friday community event, also tagged in Spanish as ViernesDeEscritorio. One user showed a Fedora workstation running GNOME, describing a setup built entirely on Linux and open source software, including messengers and mail apps, deliberately avoiding Google, Microsoft and Apple services while using AI tools only on their own terms.

Why now: Desktop Friday is a recurring community ritual where Linux enthusiasts show off their setups, and going fully open source without big-tech services is a popular talking point.
