The live-action adaptation of 'Look Back' has taken five awards at the Venice Film Festival and also won a TAMA Film Award. Director Hirokazu Kore-eda commented that the sweep is 'a situation we have never experienced before,' underscoring how unusual the recognition is for the film in international and Japanese awards seasons alike.

Why now: The film's rare multi-award success at Venice, described by Kore-eda as unprecedented, has drawn wide attention.
