Protest art targets vulture funds over housing crisis
Original: No a los fondos buitres. No to the vultures on housing. # 26s # acampadasol # vivienda # buitre # fondosbuitre # cartoon
Illustrator Cleef Hanger has shared a political cartoon declaring 'No to the vulture funds' in Spanish and English, drawing attention to the role of so-called vulture funds in housing. The piece tags the September 26 demonstration and the Acampada Sol housing protest movement in Madrid, framing the artwork as an act of protest against speculation that prices residents out of their homes.
Why now: Ongoing housing protests in Spain against vulture fund speculation are being amplified through protest art ahead of demonstrations.
