A road traffic accident occurred on 3 October at around 3.40pm at the entrance of the tunnel leading to the Departure Zones of Tuas Checkpoint in Singapore. The Emergency Medical Ambulance Service has blocked two of the lanes at the site, and travellers heading to the checkpoint are advised to expect congestion and consider alternative routes while clearance work continues.

Why now: Tuas Checkpoint is a major border crossing, so an accident blocking lanes there is of immediate concern to travellers.
