A Japanese entertainment report says singer Masahiko Kondo, a top Showa-era idol, discussed how idols in his day went on secret dates. When asked whether he gave his contact details to a date and a specific programme name came up, Kondo was caught off guard, asking 'Why do you know that?', drawing attention on social media.
Why now: A veteran pop idol's candid, embarrassed reaction to questions about his secret romance past is amusing fans and nostalgic viewers.
