Ex-White House Correspondent Joins Trump As Assistant Press Secretary
Original: Ex-White House Correspondent Joins Team Trump As Assistant Press Secretary
A former White House correspondent has been appointed assistant press secretary on Donald Trump's team, according to NDTV. The move marks another example of a journalist crossing over into a political communications role inside a presidential administration. The appointment is drawing attention given the appointee's previous role covering the very institution they will now represent.
Why now: The hiring of a former journalist into a White House press role raises questions about conflicts of interest and media-political revolving doors.
