Poll finds 49% of Britons back rejoining the EU
Original: Poll finds 49% of Britons support rejoining the European Union
A new poll has found that 49% of Britons support rejoining the European Union, nearly a decade after the country voted to leave. The figure, reported by EU Today, suggests opinion on Brexit may have shifted significantly, with supporters of rejoining now approaching half the population and reigniting debate over the UK's future relationship with Europe.
Why now: It reopens the long-running debate over whether the UK should reverse Brexit, a divisive topic in British politics.
