Fans urge team to sign wide receiver Brandin Cooks
Original: Golden Nuggets: Let Brandin Cook(s)
A sports roundup item plays on the name of veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks, urging a team to 'let him cook' — slang for giving a playmaker room to produce. Cooks, a longtime NFL pass-catcher, is the focus of fan calls for a club to add him to its receiving corps and use his experience in the passing game.
Why now: Fans are debating where the free-agent wide receiver should land and want a team to give him a bigger role.
