Commentators Criticize 'It Doesn't Affect Me' Defense of ICE
Original: “It Doesn’t Affect Me” - The Problem With Defending ICE | Forrest Valkai + Ari
Commentators Forrest Valkai and Ari joined Jimmy Snow's show The Line to discuss ICE and immigration enforcement in the United States. They argue that the common defense of ICE actions — that they do not personally affect the people making them — is morally flawed, framing the issue as one of human rights rather than detached self-interest.
Why now: Ongoing public debate over ICE immigration enforcement and its treatment of migrants keeps the topic prominent.
