The Verge has published a piece arguing that 3D movies are worth watching again, crediting modern AR glasses such as Xreal, Meta's smart glasses, and Apple's Vision Pro. The article suggests new display technology has finally fixed the format's long-standing problems, reviving interest in watching 3D films at home rather than in cinemas.
Why now: New AR glasses hardware has renewed debate about whether 3D movie viewing is finally practical at home.
