Halloween spider web decorations found to trap wildlife
Original: Outdoor Halloween spider web decor can trap wildlife, and some are using fabric instead
Conservation-minded coverage warns that stretchy faux spider web decorations used outdoors at Halloween can ensnare birds, insects and other wildlife that get tangled in the fibers. Reports note that some households and decorators are switching to fabric or rope-based webs, which are safer for animals and can be reused year after year, as awareness of the hazard spreads during the holiday season.
Why now: Halloween is approaching, so seasonal safety warnings about outdoor decorations resonate with people decorating their homes.
