Woman robbed of TT$129,000 in Port of Spain handbag snatch
Original: Nobody is asking why she had $129,000 TT (close to $20k US) in her Tommy Hilfiger purse... I mean, that's weird, right?
A woman in Port of Spain, Trinidad was robbed of TT$129,000 — roughly US$20,000 — which she was carrying in her handbag. Commenters are less focused on the theft itself than on the unusual amount of cash she was carrying, questioning why such a large sum was in a purse and what it was for. Police have not clarified the source or purpose of the money.
Why now: The sheer size of the cash sum carried in a handbag is prompting suspicion and speculation beyond the robbery itself.
