Mastodon falls short of being a decentralized Twitter, users say
Original: Даже ИИ говорит о том, что Мастодон это децентрализованная версия Твиттера... Хрен там, ничего близкого. # health # bioh
A user on Mastodon is pushing back against the common description of the platform as a decentralized Twitter, arguing that even AI chatbots repeat this comparison but that Mastodon is nothing like Twitter in practice. The complaint reflects a familiar debate among Mastodon users, who often feel the network's culture, moderation model and community structure differ fundamentally from Twitter's.
Why now: The Twitter-to-Mastodon comparison remains a recurring point of friction for the platform's community.
