Original: 'As I understand...' - Stefan Borson drops verdict on Man City facing 'criminal investigation'

Football finance expert Stefan Borson has given his verdict on claims that Manchester City could face a criminal investigation, saying 'as I understand' before offering his assessment of the situation. The club is already engaged in a long-running Premier League profit and sustainability case, so any suggestion of criminal proceedings has drawn attention.

Why now: Manchester City remain at the centre of high-profile legal and financial proceedings, so fresh claims about a criminal investigation attract immediate attention.
