Free cycling shorts handed out at Oktoberfest
Original: teufelsrad
At the Teufelsrad attraction at Munich's Oktoberfest, free cycling shorts were handed out to women to protect them from illegal upskirt filming. The move has drawn attention to privacy concerns around the traditional spinning wheel ride, where riders sit on a rotating platform in skirts, and has sparked debate about preventing hidden camera abuse at the festival.
Why now: The unusual protective measure against covert filming at a famous Oktoberfest attraction is drawing attention during the festival.
