Timberwolves Take a Stand Against Flopping
Original: Timberwolves Taking a Stand on Flopping Might Just Help Their Cause
The Minnesota Timberwolves are taking a public stance on flopping, with Sports Illustrated suggesting the hard line could actually work in the team's favor. By calling out diving and exaggeration for fouls, the franchise is positioning itself on the right side of an issue the NBA has been trying to police, a message that could win over referees, fans and league officials alike.
Why now: The team's vocal criticism of flopping is resonating amid ongoing NBA efforts to cut down on flopping and officiating complaints.
