Half of UK Voters Back Rejoining the EU, Poll Finds
Original: Half UK Voters In Favor of Rejoining to the EU, Poll
A new poll indicates that around half of UK voters would support rejoining the European Union, years after the country's 2020 exit from the bloc. The findings renew debate over Brexit, with supporters of re-entry citing economic strain and others insisting the 2016 referendum result should stand.
Why now: Brexit's economic and political aftermath keeps EU membership a live issue in British public opinion.
