Georgia ballot-shuffling proposal fails to win support
Original: Proposal requiring Georgia election workers to ‘shuffle’ ballots at polls fails to find support
A proposal that would have required Georgia election workers to shuffle ballots at polling places failed to attract support, meaning ballots will continue to be handled under existing procedures. The idea drew attention amid ongoing debates over election security and public confidence in voting processes in the state, but it gained no traction with officials.
Why now: Georgia's election procedures remain a focal point of national debate over voting integrity.
