Web developer migrates Joomla site to Hugo static generator
Original: Endlich geschafft, meine Joomla Website ist auf Hugo migriert 🚀 Kein Hassle mehr mit Sicherheitsupgrades, nur noch # Mar
A developer reports finishing the migration of a personal website from the Joomla content management system to the Hugo static site generator. They say the move ends the burden of regular security updates, replaces visual editing with plain Markdown, and delivers noticeably faster page loads. They are also enthusiastic about using Mastodon comments as a way to let visitors respond to posts.
Why now: Migrating from database-driven CMSs like Joomla to static site generators is a popular current trend among developers tired of maintenance overhead.
