Flydubai attacker had been banned from flying, report says

Original: flydubai

The Wall Street Journal reports that the man behind the attack on a Flydubai aircraft had previously been banned by Oman from flying because of his radical views. The revelation raises questions about how the ban was enforced and whether warning signs were missed, and the story is drawing attention across several countries.

Why now: A new report reveals the attacker had been flagged and banned by Omani authorities before the incident.
