Alberta separatists accused of seeking foreign help against Canada
Original: RE: https:// mastodon.social/@mercedesallen /117377999861253014 Actively seeking assistance from foreigners to undermine
Posts are accusing Alberta separatist figures of actively seeking assistance from foreigners to undermine Canada, allegedly with backing from a country seen as attacking Canadian sovereignty. Commenters are debating whether such conduct could amount to levying war against Canada or acts preparatory to it, framing the issue as a possible treason question.
Why now: Accusations that a separatist movement is colluding with a foreign state touch on treason and national sovereignty, drawing sharp debate.
