White Sox prospect Riku Nishida on team's rise

Original: ホワイトソックス

Chicago White Sox infield prospect Riku Nishida has been speaking about the team's turnaround, saying he was already convinced last season that the young roster was improving. The Japanese minor leaguer says he is preparing for a call-up to the major league roster as the club's promising young players continue to develop. Japanese sports media picked up his comments.

Why now: Interest in Japan over a Japanese player's comments as the White Sox enjoy an unexpected surge.
