US country music star Zach Bryan wore a 'Free Palestine' shirt while performing at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. The gesture, coming from one of America's biggest country artists, quickly drew attention online amid the ongoing Israel-Gaza war, with supporters sharing clips and hashtags including FreePalestine and ceasefire. It remains to be seen whether Bryan issues a statement or faces a commercial or political backlash.
Why now: A major mainstream country star publicly signalling on Palestine is unusual and lands in the middle of the heated Israel-Gaza debate.
