Pro-Palestinian protesters in Ireland have called on the national football team to boycott Sunday's Nations League match against Israel. The appeal is being pushed with slogans including StopTheGame and ShowIsraelTheRedCard, tying the boycott demand to calls for a ceasefire in Gaza. The campaign adds to ongoing debate in Europe over whether national teams should continue playing Israel during the war.

Why now: The war in Gaza has sparked campaigns asking sports teams to refuse to play Israel, making this fixture controversial.
