Amazon has responded to growing backlash over its data center operations by saying it no longer requires non-disclosure agreements. The statement follows criticism that the company used NDAs to keep details of its data center projects and their local impacts hidden from communities and the public. The dispute highlights rising tension between big tech's infrastructure expansion and transparency demands.
Why now: People are debating big tech transparency and the local impact of data center expansion, and Amazon's policy shift is fresh news.
