Nepali Congress leader says party lost a million voters, courts Gen Z
Original: Congress president says his party lost a million voters and wants Gen Z to win them back
The president of Nepal's Congress party has acknowledged that the party has lost around a million voters and said it must reach out to Generation Z to win them back. The remark points to concerns within the party about eroding support among younger voters and a need to modernise how it campaigns and communicates, with Gen Z seen as key to its electoral recovery.
Why now: A major party openly admitting mass voter loss and targeting Gen Z reflects a political crisis that is drawing attention.
