Trump Urges Republicans to Vote by Mail in Midterms

President Trump, who has long criticised mail-in voting as prone to fraud, is now encouraging Republicans to use it ahead of the midterm elections. The shift, reported by the New York Times, highlights the gap between his public attacks on the method and his party's practical efforts to match Democratic mail-voting turnout.
Why now: The apparent contradiction between Trump's repeated attacks on mail voting and his new call for Republicans to use it is drawing attention ahead of the midterms.
