Original: India 3 earthquakes in the last 2 hours Mag 5.0 Mizoram 1 hr 49 mins ago Mag 3.8 Tripura 36 mins ago Mag 2.5 Madhya Prad
Three earthquakes were recorded in India in quick succession: a magnitude 5.0 tremor in Mizoram, a magnitude 3.8 in Tripura, and a magnitude 2.5 in Madhya Pradesh, all within roughly two hours. The cluster across three states has prompted people to share seismograph updates and check on conditions in the affected regions. No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
Why now: The rapid sequence of tremors across three separate Indian states drew attention to seismic activity in the region.
