A preview has been released for the 'NHK Sunday Art Museum 50 Years' exhibition, running at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art in Osaka from October 10. The show marks five decades of NHK's long-running art programme, pairing rare footage from past broadcasts with the actual artworks featured, in what organisers describe as a multi-layered look at the series' history. Art fans in the Kansai region are noting the rare combination of archival material and original pieces.
Why now: The exhibition previews a milestone anniversary of one of Japan's best-known art television programmes, drawing interest from art and TV audiences ahead of its October opening.
