Wagon distributing free banned books coming to Brooklyn
Original: A wagon full of free banned books is coming to Brooklyn
A wagon full of free banned books is set to tour Brooklyn, offering copies of titles that have been removed or challenged in schools and libraries elsewhere in the United States. The initiative aims to keep contested books accessible to readers for free, and it is drawing attention amid the ongoing national debate over book bans and censorship.
Why now: Book bans have become a heated national controversy, and a free distribution effort in Brooklyn taps directly into that debate.
