Broadway front porch festival welcomes October outdoors
Original: I will welcome you to October with an impromptu # touchgrass series. I am first timer today on # broadway from 6th ave d
An organizer in Almeda is inviting people to spend the first day of October outdoors, walking Broadway from 6th Avenue down to Almeda as part of a front porch festival featuring multiple bandstands, parks and vendors. The event is framed as a chance to 'touch grass' and get out to see people, with a follow-up community meetup planned for October 21st at 7pm.
Why now: A community figure is promoting a local outdoor festival and encouraging face-to-face gatherings at the start of October.
