Tufts University has paused its prison re-entry program, drawing concern from students involved with it. The program, connected to the Tyler Brown initiative, supported incarcerated people preparing to re-enter society. Students say the pause undermines commitments to education access and re-entry support, and they are calling on the university to explain the decision and restore the program.

Why now: A university decision affecting prison education access has prompted student pushback, making it a topic of local education discussion.
