Australian Broadcaster Accused of Downplaying French Riots

Original: ABC in Australia has covered the French riots as simply students rallying for better classroom conditions! Not the setti

A claim circulating on social media accuses the ABC in Australia of framing the French riots as student protests over classroom conditions, while allegedly ignoring violence including arson of schools, historic buildings and churches and attacks on members of the public. The accusation, made in a widely shared post, alleges serious bias in how the unrest is being reported to Australian audiences.

Why now: Critics are reacting to what they see as a misleading or overly soft portrayal of violent riots by a major public broadcaster.
