Spanish outrage over disputed protest turnout figures
Original: Más de un millón según France News, el Delegado del Singobierno dice que 72.000. Son unos sinvergüenzas.
A heated dispute has broken out over how many people attended a demonstration in France. France News reported that more than one million people took part, while the government delegate put the figure at just 72,000. Critics are accusing authorities of deliberately downplaying the numbers, with one widely shared comment calling officials liars over the gap between the two counts.
Why now: People are angry at the huge discrepancy between official and media crowd estimates for the protest.
