Jamaica Teachers' Association urges risk-based school security review
Original: JTA calls for risk based assessment of school security systems IRIE FM https:// iriefm.net/jta-calls-for-risk- based-ass
The Jamaica Teachers' Association is calling for a risk-based assessment of security systems in schools across the island. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the JTA wants security measures tailored to the specific risks facing each institution. The appeal was reported by Jamaican broadcaster IRIE FM and has circulated among Jamaicans following news coverage of school safety concerns.
Why now: Ongoing concerns about school safety and violence in Jamaica have prompted the teachers' union to push for tailored security measures.
