Ukraine adds jammers to bomber drones used in Donetsk push
Original: Ukraine's bomber drones, ones that dropped ground robots in its recent Donetsk counteroffensive, are getting 2.4-kilogram jammer to shield them from FPVs
Ukraine is equipping its bomber drones — the same aircraft that dropped ground robots during a recent counteroffensive in the Donetsk region — with a 2.4-kilogram jammer designed to shield them from enemy FPV attack drones. The move reflects the rapid electronic-warfare arms race on the front line, where drones increasingly need onboard protection to survive.
Why now: Ukraine's battlefield drone innovations continue to draw attention amid the ongoing war with Russia.
